March 20, 2008
A happy, happy day as Anneka and Abigail flew from Nairobi, Kenya to PA.  After getting fitted into their new winter coats (since they did not need them in Africa), they enjoyed lots of fresh country air and outdoor biking while visiting at our home.  Life took a new turn for us as these busy, busy girls discovered most every nook and corner of our home.  These sisters surely bring us much joy and happiness... and we thank God for each precious grandchild.
April 12, 2008 some Hess Historians cleaned of this early Hess family cemetery near Willow Street PA - the burial site of 1717 immigrant - Hans Hess (1683-1733) and wife, Magdalena (c.1688-1767. We are so pleased that a neighboring gentleman honored his wife by gifting dollars for this fine plaque in memory of her early Hess connections.

May 4-10 in Madison WI with Marc, Claire, and Ben. Family time... a precious gift... surely those six days together were a great Mother's Day gift for me. It was special to see Marc & Claire pouring lots of love and care into Ben's life. Here are my favorite words to describe him: alert, pleasant, energetic, healthy, engaging, observant, loving.

Help!  By mistake I deleted all my earlier blog prints of Ben taken just last week.  Gift me added time and I'll find a way to add these.  This photo above was from Christmas time in PA.
